Påkörning bakifrån (pisksnärtskador)Pisksnärtskador är vanliga vid påkörning bakifrån. Även om det ännu inte är helt klarlagt vilka mekanismer som orsakar skadorna vet man att stols- och nackskyddskonstruktionen har betydelse för skaderisken. Euro NCAP bedömer geometrin för nackskyddet i förhållande till huvudet och testar sätena i tre krocknivåer – hög, medium och låg – med hjälp av en krockdocka som är särskilt konstruerad för påkörning bakifrån. Sätena överst i tabellen har sannolikt bättre skydd än de längst ned.
